How much research is enough research?
The reason to ask this question gets obvious when the list of research articles gets long enough that a website like this one gets tired of searching through it all.
Here's a good one:
There are literally hundreds of articles, going back decades, showing garlic supplementation having benefits for your circulatory system.
Want to look at more research? (We suggest you read these as you are going to bed. They're a great sleep aid.)
Research 2 Research 3 Research 4 Research 5 Research 6 Research 7 Research 8
Research 9 Research 10 Research 11
Just to name a few things it has been shown to help: high blood pressure (hypertension), cholesterol, heart disease, general cardiovascular disease, (and did we mention high blood pressure?(Lots of research!)), and as an added bonus it boosts your immune system (not technically a circulatory system, but I'm sure you don't mind).
The reason we mention garlic helping blood pressure twice, is because there is so much research showing it helping lower high blood pressure, WITHOUT negative side effects.
It's also kind of fun to see researchers find that garlic helps with other aspects of your health when looking for something else.
I believe we may have mentioned elsewhere on this page that garlic helps with blood pressure.
When you read through the papers that were studying how much it helped with blood pressure, you learn about side effects garlic has.
One of those side effects is particularly interesting in todays world, its immune benefitting properties.
Garlic has been shown to increase macrophage activity, increase natural killer cells, and increase production of T & B cells.
It's a boost to a well rounded immune system.
Come for the benefit to your high blood pressure, stay for the side effects.
